Product appreance and wall thickness
To design the product with flow line profile, the sudden changing surface will casue air bubbles and the mould surface on this area is easier to be weared during molding.
Factor effected the wall thickness:
1. The adequacy of structural stength
2. Wether the force arrived in stripping(tooling release)
3. Can the impact force be disttributed evenly
4. When there is overmolding inserts in, if the wall can prevent crack, also whether it affect product stength if there is welding line.
5, Whether the welding line on the hole will affect the product strength
6. Wall thickness evenly to prevent shrinkage
7, Whether the coner and thin wall area will cause the short shot.
The uneven wall thickness will cause what kind of issue:
1, The cooling time depends on the thick wall area what will case the production performance degradation.
2. The uneven wall thickness cause the uneven cooling, shrinkage, innerstress, crack etc.
Often used materials: PC, ABS, PMMA etc, and their standard of wall thickness are as following:
PC:1.5-5.0 ABS:1.2-3.5 PMMA:1.5-5.0
